We partner with Long Beach Unified School District to offer free after-school programs at three local schools: Alvarado Elementary, Bixby Elementary, and Marshall Middle School.
Called WRAP (for Winners Reaching Amazing Potential), the program balances homework help, academic enrichment, and physically and emotionally healthy activities that help kids learn and grow in a positive environment. Extracurricular activities include arts and crafts, cooking, dance, science, sports and more. We designed the WRAP program to be a balanced mixture of academic enrichment and assistance and physically and emotionally healthy activities that are fundamental components of youth development.
The three programs serve over 250 students each day (and over 500 annually), providing employment support for over 200 working parents, and bridging the gap between the end of school and the close of business.
